Marketing Programs

[fa icon="plus-square"] What is marketing automation?
Most of our programs involve marketing automation for our clients. Why? Because it worksIt’s not just an automatic “thank you” email you set up with a free email service. It’s:
  • Sending Katie an email letting her know of the shipment of her favorite sweater in new colors. You know it’s her favorite sweater because she purchased 3 of them over the last 2 months.
  • Being able to see that Jimmy visited your website but spent 80% of his time on pages relating to wine and cooking classes so when he calls you know to talk to him about that instead of camping gear.
  • Understanding which of your contacts are more engaged based on their activity. Why does it matter? Sales can interact with prospects that are more interested (and more than likely in a better position to buy) instead of wasting time on those that aren’t.
[fa icon="plus-square"] What is inbound marketing?

Inbound marketing consists of tactics that 'attract' customers to you through content, social media, engagement, etc. Inbound offers valuable content prospects are looking for to help them solve a problem, bringing prospects (inbound) to you.

Think of outbound marketing as "calling out" to prospects - an interpretive tactic. This includes things like print mail and outbound call centers.

[fa icon="plus-square"] How much does a marketing program cost?
The right marketing program should be customized to suit your business needs, goals, and industry. Programs are built-to-budget but, typically start around $3,500 monthly up to $15,000 per month, but your cost would depend on your business and marketing needs along with the complexity of the business. There may also be implementation costs depending on your program and, to ensure the success of any program, we typically require our clients to complete a marketing roadmap as "phase I" prior to starting a marketing program.
[fa icon="plus-square"] How long will it take me to rank on page 1 of Google?
There are many factors involved with ranking high on Google, including keywords, key phrases, your overall SEO strategy and effort you put toward that strategy. No one can tell you precisely how long it will take (and if they do claim they know, you may want to reconsider using them). We're happy to discuss developing an SEO strategy with you, but in the meantime, we recommend you create consistent, meaningful content for your website. This is one part of any strategy that is imperative for increasing visibility in search engine results.

[fa icon="plus-square"] Why do you require I provide or pay for a Roadmap before a Marketing Program?
One of the main reasons most marketing efforts fail is because of a lack of planning and research. If your marketing efforts, we fail. And you lose a lot of money... you or your boss gets upset and then we look bad. We don't want that to happen. Think of it like building a house; we wouldn't want to have a contractor start building without first getting the architectural plans.
[fa icon="plus-square"] How long does it take to complete a Marketing Roadmap?
The process is about 4-6 weeks, but depending on the complexity of your business and your goals, could go as long as 8 weeks. This takes a bit of time but can save much more time in the long run because we know it will be done correctly.

Web Site Design

[fa icon="plus-square"] Why do you use WordPress?
WordPress is an open source, content management software (CMS). More than 25% of websites today currently use WordPress. This platform allows us to develop flexible and customizable websites while still following best practices.
[fa icon="plus-square"] What are my options other than WordPress?
The only other platform we recommend (and a service we offer) is HubSpot. We're happy to discuss the benefits of each platform so you can make an informed decision.
[fa icon="plus-square"] How long does it take to complete a website?
The amount of time it takes to complete a website depends on your web requirements. For instance, an e-commerce site can take much longer than a standard website that doesn't require financial transactions. We've been able to complete websites in as little as 2 weeks, but they can also take as long as 2 months. Set up some time for a free 30-minute consult and we would be happy to give you an idea of how long it would take to complete a website for you.
[fa icon="plus-square"] Who should host my website?
Your website needs to be hosted by a reliable hosting company that specializes in WordPress hosting. There are many companies that do this but, we recommend WP Engine or Flywheel.
[fa icon="plus-square"] What happens once my website goes live?
All of the websites we design are covered by 30 days of our Gold Site Care plan to make sure the bugs have been ironed out and that you are confident using your new website. After the 30 days, we strongly encourage subscribing to one of our ongoing Site Care plans to make sure your website is looked after and maintained. These website care plans include updating your software, regular backups, security checks and helping to make sure your website is consistently online and open for business.
[fa icon="plus-square"] What is a prototype?
Before we build your website, we provide an interactive black and white version of your site designed to show the functionality and features as they will work in a browser. No design elements are applied at this stage as the prototype is just built to allow all parties to make final decisions on the functionality.
[fa icon="plus-square"] Who do I call if something goes wrong with my site?
All our sites are covered for 30 days under our Gold Site Care plan and, since we'll know your website better than anyone, we encourage you to continue on one of our care plans. If you are on one of our plans, we should be the first point of contact. We can then determine whether it's an issue with your hosting company or something that is covered under your care plan.
[fa icon="plus-square"] I want to add some features to the website while you’re building it.

We like to be flexible and responsive to your needs; we also like to deliver what we promise within the planned timeframes and budgets. If your request helps achieve our planned objectives, then we will certainly oblige. If this new feature is not directly tied to your original objectives, then we can add it to a "phase II" of the project after the site has launched. This will more than likely require a new proposal.

[fa icon="plus-square"] How will I know if my website is getting traffic?

We integrate Google Analytics on every website we launch so you can see how many visitors are coming to your site and get a greater understanding of who is visiting your site.

We will also show you how to log into your Google Analytics account where you can access your site data to find out how long people are on your site, which pages they visit, and where they're coming from (i.e., facebook, Google search, even your emails).

If you continue with one of our Site Care plans, you can receive monthly detailed reports about your website performance and recommendations on how to improve.

Site Care

[fa icon="plus-square"] Where is your support team located?
Our support team members are ALL here in the U.S.!
[fa icon="plus-square"] What are your support hours and turn-around times?
Our support hours are Monday through Friday, 7am-5pm ET. We do our best to complete support requests within 8 business hours but often can complete them much faster.
[fa icon="plus-square"] Does Site Care require a contract?
While we don't require a contract, all care plans require an online subscription with a credit card authorization for recurring, automatic monthly payments. You may cancel your plan any time prior to your next billing cycle, but refunds are not granted for periods already in effect.
[fa icon="plus-square"] Do you really mean 'unlimited' requests?
We really do mean unlimited requests. As long as the task can be done within 30 minutes, you can send as many tasks as needed to support@undergroundcreativegroup.comTasks include requests like: minor content updates, theme or stylesheet adjustments, install new plugins, configure forms and much more. From code to general WordPress issues, we’ll take care of almost anything that can be done within 30 minutes. Most of our time is spent with CSS, action and filter hooks, PHP, JavaScript and the admin panel. Site tasks do not include host issues (GoDaddy, Hostgator, etc.); we can try to direct you, but typically you can get better results by going directly to your host provider.
[fa icon="plus-square"] What if our request takes longer than 30 minutes?
Don't worry, if we estimate your request will take more than 30 minutes, we’ll let you know so you can take care of it in-house or address it however you prefer. Site Care members receive discounted rates on hourly service.
[fa icon="plus-square"] How do I know what you're doing on my site?
We add a Site Care dashboard right inside your Wordpress site that you can access anytime and see all our recent WordPress core/plugin updates, daily backups including download links and the most recent security scan results. We also provide options to exclude specific plugins from being included in our update process (so if you have something on your site you don't want anyone to mess with, we've got your back). More detailed, monthly reports are available upon request.
[fa icon="plus-square"] How do I submit a request for my website?
We make it super easy! For all your Site Care requests, email support@undergroundcreativegroup.com and we'll get right to work.
